| rit dye spektrum radios?
i just got a dx3e a few days ago and was wondering if anyone has tried to rit dye the plastic on them. i would just go ahead and do it but it is brand new. if you have done it to any spektrum radio some pics would be cool. sorry if this is already posted somewhere.

Actually I tried it. I'll be honest it was my first attempt at dyeing anything and it really didn't turn out as planned. I should have raised the plastic off the bottom of the pan. The plastic warped and shrink in areas. I had to dremil areas to get the trigger and trim switches to fit again. I used one box black and one box purple. It came out looking like it was burned in a fire. If you have experiance dyeing you could probably get better results that I did. I'll take pics tomorrow for you. Mostly the paint took the color but if you give it a sanding the plastic is still gray.

Most likely the plastic is to soft to be dyed without warping

Could you strip it some and cold dye it?
