Default new build with Worminator axles

Hi, I want to use RC4WD Worminator axles for my next craler build. I have search a few crawler forums and it seemd when they first came out and people tried to us the 1:1 gear box they had problems with wheel speed and power. I know everyone switch out the 40:1 axle gears for the 25:1 set-up. I was wondering if anyone has a set-up that works for these axles. I was thinking about using the R2 disco trans. Thanks , any info would be great. Chad

Worm gears are so poorly inefficient that everyone I know who has owned them has changed the axles soon after. Not worth the trouble IMO..

Tell that to E-hills, or any other Losi driver that's kicking ass with those "inefficient" worm gears. Not to knock a newb here, but I've "personally" watched a few Worm drives get the snot driven out of'm.
53willy's in the Bully forum has a build using them. Search around here or in the Bully section, I think you can find some Great info on his build.
I personally would love the Worminators if they had strait tubes like the Bully's. IF I get the hankerin' I'd like to build a comp rig with the worminator up front and the Bully in back.
