I know the usual ballon the electronics etc...ive got a waterproof traxxas servo..

But all my bearings and screws are starting to rust...

What do you guys do to help prevent or slow this down?

I use all stainless screws and fasteners. That helps. Hardened steel (drive shafts, Gears) take a little long to rust than just simple steel. Salt water will accelerate your rusting and corrosion on all materials including the aluminum. But if you give it a bath and dry it off with an air compressor, it might be OK. I like to drive on the jetties at the seashore too, i just haven't fallen in yet.

spray it down with WD-40 before and after water/mud runs.It also helps with removing the mud after the run

I always soak it with wd 40 before the run and right after the run I clean it with freshwater and dry it down with the ac compressor.

I crawl along the lake and river so I always use bushings in my builds lol.

take care nick
