| RC4WD "steely" stainless heim joints...what are your experiences with them?
Hey guys, I'm looking for rod ends and came across them, they look like a great product and I'm sure they are if they match the quality of my Super Bullys. My question is about their movement. They look to be more suited for the scaler segment of the hobby, as opposed to the super they will be mounted on if I buy them. Do they have as much rotational movement as other options? Should I use plastic ends instead, to act as a cheap part to break in a crash instead of a broken rod or bent mount? What are your thoughts on this? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jerry |

Thanks for the reply! Thats what I was thinking as well, but I also wondered about how much less there could really be between those and the standard plastic rod ends...I bought 30 of both to compare and have plenty for my rig. I'll post the results I find.

In my experience, the plastic rod ends will last longer. The metal ends will wear out quickly with a lot of movement. I run a mix of Revo and Jato Long rod ends on my super and have only had one fail on me so far....and that is because I was refusing to let off when in a bind. |

The heim rc4wd rod ends are actually pretty good for metal rod ends. I've been using them on my jk for quite some time and they seem to be doing just fine. No abnormal slop yet.
