Question How long is to long?

Dose it matter How long a crawler can be before the scale of the crawler changes?

Default 12.5" for comp

If you want to compete you need to keep it at 12.5" or less. That is in 2.2 class. Supers are unlimited, but the 2.2 class is by far the most popular. So keep wheel base 12.5" from axles to axle.

The Super Class runs up to a 18" wheelbase perhaps you saw one of them?

supers are not unlimited, they have to be a minimum of 16 inch wheelbase and a max of 16 inches.

if you make yours for the 2.2 class then it is 12.5" max as said above, BUT be sure that you compress the shocks all the way down then measure it to see if it is within the 12.5". if you have it set at 12.5" sitting there and then you compress it, it may be longer than supposed to be. the rule is 12.5" fully compressed

Are you talking about scalers?

I'm pretty sure the rules are a little different there. As long as it fits the fenders its good. I tried looking real quick but I only found rules from 2008

EDIT: found this if you are talking about scalers
