Default My first attempt at a "Stick Chassis"

Please visit and let me know what you think. If anyone out there can help with posting the pics right on here, please do. 3/8" threaded rod for the base, 1/2" id sleve, custom mounts and i have a good crawler. I must give props to ApacheXMD for the great write up that got me started. Still not done yet with body mounting and final wiring, but to close to rush it now and risk just rigging it up to work instead of doing it right. Will post pics of it on the rocks when completed. Thanks...

My Stick Nylint....

Lookin good! I love the bracket as well. I also love the dual shock setup. Let us know how it works on the rocks.

One suggestion though, is to keep the battery up front to keep the weight forward.

Good job though!

Looks like it should be pretty functional.

Few suggestions- move batt up front, change tires, and look into some HG electronics.

Not bad though...

I agree with what was said above about the tires. They look ugly

Send them to me, and I will send you some Nylints:-P

Thanks for the help on the pics 88flexj. Can you pm me on how you get the pics working?

Great suggestion on the battery move, i have since moved it to under the dash. HG electronics will have to wait till these go out, said my accountant(wife). But i might half to help that along. Shhhh.. The tires may look bad but they actually had decent traction when i did a test run to see how the suspension worked. I would definitely recommend the "Stick" setup. Pics to come of it on the rocks.

I'm not really sure how to explain it. No'r do i know the tech. terms for it. But I'll try. For example the rear axel, when the left rear flexes up it uses the rear shocks to return and when the riight rear flexes up it uses the front shocks to return. The same goes for the front, Left front uses front and right front uses rear. What i do know is that it creates a lot of flex. If this makes no sense maybe someone can help me with explaining this set-up.

I finally found it at the Wally on Watt near Marconi ave. I saw both the 1:18 and 1:6 about 5 weeks ago. Hope this helps...
