I have a couple of 3r winches. On one of my rigs I a seperate battery for power only because I was not concerned about the added weight, Tamiya F350. On my SCX scaler I get the power for the winch from the 2s pack running the whole rig. On the SCX I am using a DX3r and on the F350 I run a DX6i. In order to use the "remote" that comes with the winch, and not use a 3 or more channel radio, you need to have access to the button on the remote. I would just pick up the 3r winch and hook it up on your bench. Once you see how it works then you will be able to determine where and how to mount the remote. Make sure and replace the stock hook as it will break on the first pull... |
