| 1st time cage/chassis build
i've always wanted to make my own chassis, so today I went and got some 1/8" rod and slapped one together in about 1.5-2 hours. i'm not 100% proud of it, and I have a new appretiation to those that build these often, wow, it was a test run and I wasnt expecting alot, I used a measuring device..once jsut to get the skid plate width corect, now that I know I can do it, i'm going to plan out a nother, and make it something to be proud of. its not the same from left to right, but it should go together, I will post up some assenbled photo's if it goes together. I cant wait to make a good one, as the test went way smoother then I thought, there was no plan, I started bending and welding, and got this. bent by hand cut with wire cutters. critique, positive or negetive is appretiated, I know its not awesome. tips and pointers for attempt 2, also appretiated. |

assembly went ok, next time I am sure I will be prepaired, I didn't have axles or shocks with me, so when it was time to install those they binded pretty good, got them on in a way that will work, but not ideal, inside the chassis. here are some proggress pics and the manditory flex shot. |
