Default solid rod vs. tube chassis

Getting ready to pick up a new chassis and i wanted some input on the difference's between the two.

I assume that solid rod is stronger but also heavier which may cause preventable roll-overs.

That said, I also assume that tube is not quite as strong but much lighter making it the preferred material.

questions, comments or smart remarks?

ive always used steel tube for less weight and never had durability issues unless i were to drive it off a 20ft cliff. when making a frame you just need to put more support is the high stress areas and it should be fine
