Question need a part name...........

not sure what it is called, but dirt oval racers have it on there car/trucks....you know how crawlers have a slipper clutch on them, i'm looking for a hub that holds the spur gear to the tranny input shaft....it has a set screw that bites the tranny input and the spur gear screws to it.........bob

not for a rig in mind or that i have now....i built my crawler from scratch and just went with a slipper clutch from axial....i'm building a tough truck for those type of comp's and i'm in the middle of fabing up an adjustible gear ratio tranny....i need the slipper eliminator that i found the name from another forum is what name i was looking for, that just holds a spur gear to a 5mm shaft....i want to use a high turn (55T) motor for torque but i want/need wheel speed at the wheels for the mud bog and sled pulling part of the TT comp's....i'm by passing the 2:6 axial tranny gearing and going faster for the tranny output shaft will travel then the axial tranny does..........bob

thats not a 5mm shaft though, Dirt Oval guys mostly use the Assoc tranny and the shaft is smaller. (dont know if you knew that)

even if you drilled that one out to 5mm I dont think theyll be enough meat left for the grub screw to thread securely.

try any robot parts sites? try searching them for gear adaptors?

Might round up to 5mm as that's what the inside diameter of the bearing is in a Axial transmission that that shaft goes into.
