Default 4-link HELP ~ Pros please!!!

I have been messing with this for days now am stumped!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Purchased the high clearance links (know they are wider WB but i love the looks of these puppies) and have tried a few different top links to have the same results under articulation.....BIND!

Top link lengths attempted:
--------------------------------
6x??mm Shorty i have onhand.
6x74.5mm (orange link)
6x91mm (stock lowerlink from scx10)

Example:
----------

Links already close together with minimal to no articulation as shown.

To gain any articulation i physically have moved the top link under the high clearance link intentionally for description purposes.

To gain ANY articulation at one point i set it up as an AX10 and it works but.....lol

HELP APPRECIATED IN ADVANCE!

Looks like the unequal lengths and lack of vertical separation are binding it up.

I have a couple very basic rules when I play with link geometry.

Keep the links as parallel as possible. Keep the links as close to the same length as possible. Triangulation is your friend (which it looks like you have on your uppers). And in your case, add more vertical separation. For your case, you really need to try to mount those uppers higher on the chassis.

the bottom pic looks good to me lol, but what are you trying to attempt? like is this a scaler with a long chassis or is it a comp with a smaller chassis? because either way you can mount the lower or upper links to a chassis and be fine, it will give you more options and possible better setup

first, thanks for the replies!
next, although i do not mind the AX10 setup ~ i am after a scaler here so i scrapped the last setup (pic).

i will goto my local hobby and try to find longer uppers and maybe even mock up something to a higher point on the chassis as mentioned.

it would help if there's a chassis involved cuz i believe you may the right links but you have to move the top out to get a better pinion angle!

Use 30* bent lower links for the uppers,,cut them down and retap for M3 threads on the long side and put the bend toward the chassis...

raise and seperate the rear upper links at the axle end and mount the closer to the lowers at the chassis,,,

keep the front upper links low at the axle and rise them at the chassis away from the lower links...

adjust the bends as nec. for clearance
