Default Whats your Summit Trans setup

For all of you running the summit 2 speed trans in a scaler:
What ESC are you using?
What Motor are you using?
and what pinion tooth count? (I know this is a little dependent on your tire choice.)

I posted a short video of mine in the 2.2 scaler section. I'm running Rock Force axles. The summit tranny has a lot of slop in it therefore the truck will roll even when the motor is stopped. The worm gear prevents the truck from rolling when you are off the throttle. My gearing is extremely low, 100:1 in high and 300:1 in low. This allows me to run both sensored and sensorless brushless motors. By current setup is running a very fast (for crawling) motor, it's a 8.5T Novak Ballistic on 2s. It has plenty of speed in high gear and amazing low end torque in low gear. I have also used the larger brushless motors typically used in nitro conversion. It was an ezrun 4465 sensorless motor. It was a sweet setup but too much weight for crawling.

Here's the post w/ some video: Rock Force, Summit Scaler

I was running a sidewinder 5700 combo then moved to the 5t puller!! the 5700 sucked for steady crawling but was great to just just the rocks! both were in a honcho with 2.2 roc loks.

Honcho w 1.9's. Ran titan 12 turn 550 w 14 tooth pin. Crawled great, would clear 2' gap jumps, and run time was excellent. Used 3 cell also. Just dont expect to turn real sharp at speed lol

I am running ax 10 axles, summit trans, Holmes 7t puller w/ 15t pinion and maxamps 3s lipo. I have a holmes brxl esc coming(hopefully... it seems to be lost by the usps at the moment) if it doesnt show up I will run a mamba max pro. It has a rooster crawler in it for the time being. It hauls ass around the yard and works great on the rocks.
