| snow crawl/wheel day
we had planned for a day of crawlin to wake up to snow, so that was cancled anyway, I took advantage of the day to test out the snow chains I got from macclen30, and to drive my CC01 around (doesn't do well, so no pics of that), since my scaler was dissasembled and my comp crawler in the middle of a rebuild. I grabbed the "backup/loaner" crawler and slapped my rocklizzards on and wraped them with some grip (sorry about the terrible phone pics) it did very well on anything that wasn't fluffy or fresh, it is using all axial electonics and 55t motor and a 21t pinion. snow crawlin pics are kinda boring, but I thought i'd share what I got anyway. |

Cool idea, may have to give that try when the white stuff starts to fall here (shouldn't be too long now).

the chains should work better in the snow now that its been on the ground a couple days, no longer fluffy, i'm sure I could get places now haha, might have to try it again.

in my CC01 it has a traxxas XL5 waterproof speed control and a traxxas waterproof servo, the reciever is in a balloon with a dab of grease where the zip tie holds it closed. | |

The trick to snow wheeling is to use a tire with a not so sticky compound, good example is Imex tires. The snow dosen't seem to stick to these tires as much as it would a Proline or HB tire. Here is my setup for this winter, I've used these tires last winter but not on my Honcho. |
