Angry 2 wont run at the same time

I now have two 1:18 jeep crawlers one for me and one for my G/F Kathie
i picked hers up last night at walmart for $44 its still stock
i got mine a couple of weeks ago

heres my problem:
first off let me tell you BOTH ARE ON DIFFERENT CHANNELS
if I start driving mine hers doesnt move when she tries to drive it, but
as soon as i stop driving mine hers works but then if I try to use mine while she is on the gas with hers mine wont work.......it pisses me off we cant climb stuff at the same time we have to take turns which is total BS

sometime im going to do the steering servo mod and the esc stuff so i wonder if they would work at the same time then???

TIA
Steve

The ONLY thing I've found is this from 1/18 Nylint Rock Crawlers:

frequency srew up?

It was back on page 5, and it doesn't say anything about how to fix it or if it's even fixable... It basically just says to live with it...

thanks that helps find the post but it doesnt help fix it
so it doesnt seem that any one "Just went through this about a week ago"
it might have been posted but it wasnt gone through

i wanted to do the steering servo mod and it looks like the best way to do this is by doing the esc so i guess when i get around to getting all the parts i need i can do it
and then see if it makes a difference

if anyone else has anything constructive to say then the help would be apreciated

The whole reason the vehicles can change channels is so that more than one can run at a time! There must be a problem otherwise why bother having the channel selector at all? Have you tried putting the two vehicles on the SAME channel? Seems to me that if they interfere with eachother on different channels, maybe they wont on the same one?

Yep when I had a couple 1/18ths went through the same thing, just ended up running one at a time. the channel selector is a joke, because it uses the same set of crystals, just changes it within the band ever so slighly, but not enough to make them not interfere with each other.
