Default Lipo Guard

Hey all, I have tried a couple of searches but did not find anything.

Does any one sell a guard for the front axle mounted batteries. Any information would be appreciated.

I doubt anyone sells them. With all the different battery sizes and configurations it'd be impossible to know if it fit or not. Most people I know have the battery mounted on a lexan plate on the front upper links. Keeps it low enough and still well protected.

Around these parts comp rules insist on hard-cased lipos. So what we do is enclose regular soft lipos boxes that we make out of .060" styrene.

Not hard to do, and I have yet to see a punctured case at a comp.

I use a scrap piece of lexan that is bent to cover the top and front of the lipo. When I put the battery in, I slip it between the battery and the strap. Its plenty to keep the pointy stuff from causing damage.
