Default I want to my scaler to fly!!! will I have problems with TSA or the airline?

I just saw that the RC4WD firetruck was brought as a carry-on on a commercial airline to RCX.

In the thread the question was asked about problems with bringing it on board but was never answered.

Has anyone had any problem with TSA, the airline, lipos on board, or having a scaler being labeled as a bomb by a moron etc etc...

I want to bring my rig with me to California, it would be nice change from Southern wheeling but I don't want problems

Thanks

Should not be any problem. I have flown all across the country. the easiest way is to check your tools, charger, and fluids. carry on the rig, radio, lipos, and spare parts. you have to carry on your batteries or you will lose them. all lithium products must be in the passenger cabin incase something were to happen to them during the flight. tsa also likes if you have each plug covered in electrical tape and each battery in a separate ziploc bag

Almost exactly how I do it. I don't bring any tools really, usually plenty where I am going. I don't check anything. I put my rigs in my carry-on and clothes in a bookbag. Make sure your carry-on is easy to pack/unpack because you will likely have to take everything out and let them search it.

A few years ago I took my jeep from Cali. to Maui and back with no prolems. I packed mine in it's own suitcase, checked the bag in.
