| Warning
Hey guys, Make sure you contact composite envisions before you use them. I ordered with them and have heard absolutely nothing. After a little research ( a day late and about $60 short) i found that they are often dead beats. Logged a paypal complaint and we will see what happens.

| Go tank
Tank recommended http://www.protechcomposites.com and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They answered their phone both times I called them. Were very informative. I spoke to Jeff (owner/ main technician, not sure). Have a custom 1.3mm panel being made up today and shipped out tomorrow. Prices are very competitive as well. 12" x 24" custom made for $80. Thanks again for the reference. |

| Update on Composite Envisions
A quick update on composite envisions vs ProTech composites. I received my ProTech panel 4 days after I placed my order. It was just as I anticipated. Red Carbon/Kevlar, gloss on one side matt on the other. It was extremely stiff, dead nuts flat, and looked amazing. A great company to work with. Alternatively there is Composite envisions. I placed an order with them. Did not hear anything from them for a week. Did some researching and found this to be a common problem. I waited another week called everyday and left messages, still nothing. I filed a dispute with paypal to try and cancel my order. That tool 2 weeks but I wound up getting my money back. 3 weeks later it showed up at my door anyway. Clearly this guy is not paying attention. The panel is CRAP!. The gloss side has tons of air bubbles. It is not flat at all, i looks like a potato chip and has a delta of .50" from high to low. It is not 1.3mm thick as specified. Only the top layer is carbon/kevlar, what the hell is the point of that. Composite Envisions makes ABSOLUTE GARBAGE and they make you jump through hoops to get it. Do your self a huge favor and go directly to ProTech. |

I checked Tower Hobbies, they sell unfinished, matte on both sides Carbon Fiber. It is designed with matte surfaces to better glue to wood and/or foam for the RC aircraft industry. It is from Great Planes. It is not what I would use for making a chassis. ProTech does not offer gloss on both sides other than the 1.3mm thick sheets. If you want gloss on both sides, check Full Force RC.
