| Transfer case/ axial axle
So I've searched bur no results other than people showing their transfer case in rigs, but I was wondering about the rear axle? I know when people use trans they got to flip the rear so that both axles go in the same direction but with the axial axle, how do you mount the r2j 4-link? Do you guys just redrill holes on the bottom of the case or what? Edit: show pics if you can please, makes it easier for me to understand |

It would be a poorly designed transfer case that would spin the front output one direction and the rear output the opposite direction. | |

| Didn't see the bigger picture of that I was thinking in my head about the direction that the front drive shaft was going and then turning that with the rear and it would go the opposite(sounds stupid and confusing now that I'm typing it out) then what was that I remember seeing something about having to flip your axle? |

you might be thinking about 6x6s where the 2nd axle has a third member on the front and rear and you have to flip the rear or some transfer cases have both shafts coming out both sides of the case if you run both axles off the same shaft it will work like normal but if you run one axle off one shaft and the other axle off the other shaft it acts as a counter transfercase witch is supposed to help with torque twist and then one axle will have to be flipped hope this helps Last edited by muddawg; 04-11-2011 at 06:45 PM. |
