Default Punkrc

Guys I need some help here. I need some feedback on punkrc. I ordered a dig unit from him and it's been more than 2 weeks and I still don't have my unit. I have emailed and left multiple messages. I haven't got a response from either. On his website it says that he has a day job so I can understand if he gets backed up with stuff. Im starting to feel like the name "punkrc" came about because the customers get punked occasionally. Does anyone know this person or know of his reputation? All I want is the unit I ordered. I thought I would come here first before I open a paypal dispute. Thanks for any help!

That could be a reason. I asked in the original email if the product was backordered. If that was the case I would have no problem waiting. However I never got a response back on the email so heck if I know? Thanks for your response to my question. Anyone else have feedback or should I stop wasting my time and order from somewhere else?

Punk RC fills commercial orders 1st. If you need it quick, order from a Hobby Shop that has them in stock. Also a little bit cheaper. If you decide to order from the Punk RC website, it will take 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks to receive your order. Punk RC not the best on communication, if at all. Good Product. Heyok makes a controller also and users have been happy with it.
CKRC has a few in stock. Good Luck with your order.

I ordered my dig from the Punk RC website on April 18th, and I'm still waiting. No response to my emails.
I understand if there is a policy to fill commercial orders first, but in that case, why even sell direct, since the delay and lack of communication is just pissing off customers.
I would not mind the delay, if there was any form of communication or customer service.
In this day of rapid-fire emails and constant information connection, there is no excuse for customer service this poor.

I was just looking at the Punk RC website, and I found this

"Now Taking Orders
The PunkRC Dig Switch is currently shipping within 0-3 business days.
We are currently adding more videos and product manuals to the site.
If you have any questions about our products, contact me..."

I don't know if that was up when I placed my order. Hopefull it means we'll see some dig units soon.
However, I find it ironic that he urges people to contact him with questions when that bloody well doesn't work.

Thanks for the responses guys! It helps paint a picture of what is going on. That's the true beauty of the Internet if you ask me. It allows a person to poll other users to see if their experiences are the same as yours. I agree with the information posted and it is in line with my experience. Take care everyone and thanks again!

I have purchased many things from PunkRC and even sent a few back for repair and have never had any issues contacting Robin via phone or email. He has told me in the past that he works in the basement laboratory and gets terrible cell reception during the day, but that he will return calls in the evening...

After trying again to reach Punk RC I opened a Paypal dispute on Saturday.
I just received an email from Robin at Punk RC that my dig was packaged over the weekend and shipped today 5/9. I'm unsure if the sudden response was due to the paypal dispute, or if this is just the time the dig would have shipped anyway.
Either way, I'm glad to hear my dig is on the way.
