| steel drive shafts...
I found these whiel looking for gears for my transfercase. I'm gonna get some of them and let ya'll know how they work out. There expencive but I know they wont twist or brake. I think I'm way over building this thing, but I've said that before. LOL. They have 6mm ID in the bore and can extend 4", witch happens to put them right in the middle of my 16.5" wheel base I'm shooting for. http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mck...&.dnm=c92f.jpg |

Yep pricy little devils. $120 for 1, or if you get 10 they drop to $72 each. I just think I'll go through enough drive shafts to make it worth it. LOL

On the bottom left side of the page click on universal joints, then telescoping. Come on man, its the internet, just search around the site. This company has had almost everything I could imagine for all of my "small parts" jobs and projects. They are very reliable and fast, a little pricey on some items but you wont find them any where else. |

Talk about having some cool things to stick on a crawler. Adapting those gear reduction units(GD-600's) can be a real snap now... did ya see these? This is basicly what I have on mine but I had to modify one I had from my boat... How about them u-joints! Some can operate up to 90* 8O ..these are the plastic ones though, metal states up to 60* max operation The driveshafts look nice too. | |
