I have run the previous mentioned steel Axials and also run this on one of mine. Never a problem with either: http://www.hot-racing.com/index.cgi?...=SSCP38X;c=456 I know some people knock on HR stuff. But I have never had a bad part from them. I have used many parts from them on many different rigs, never a fit or finish problem ever. They are local too (about an hour away). At least their main distributor is anyway, not sure where they are made. |

Patrick, you need to learn to drive smoother.....I never broke one of those in the two years I owned it. Maybe if you quit driving through the campfire you would stop taking the temper out of the output . Last edited by War Pig; 07-25-2011 at 01:27 PM. |

I have been using the steel bowie ones for quite sometime. I found that better bearings and going with a metal case in higher than normal speed where tons of torque is added helps eliminate any extra slop Oh yeah and if your gonna drive the truck like a demon through campfires, get an e- revo |

I've broken one of the Robinsons. They shear off the outputs with the right amount of power. 4S and a 35T Holmes Pro will did it for me. I can get about 15 minutes out of the aluminum Axials if I'm lucky. I'm waiting on the steel ones to come back into stock since I can't afford the CI ones. |

I have the solid steel ones in two of mine and haven't broken them. I've snapped a couple of the stock style bolt on ones, but I'm impressed if you're breaking the solid ones.

Really, I think they use cheap alloy or something, really brittle. The outputs shear right off. I have some real high quality machined ones in now that are holding up nicely. | ||
