Default New Product!!! BWD Delrin Motor Sav'r

We've been working on this product for the last year, and have been running prototypes since Crawlapalooza '10. Finally, after much hassle finding the right shop for the job, and MUCH investment, we are nearing release!

These are injection molded guards for your 540 brushed or brushless motors...made from Delrin! Super slick, very durable, and thin enough to keep your clearance under your axle, and between the motor and axle case. They clamp between the motor and the gear case and are indexable so you can keep the wire notch where your wire contacts are, depending on your timing. That's right, no more hassle with removing tape from your motor (that holds your 5 hour energy bottles in place) every time you need to tear into your motor...simply unbolt your motor from the gear case and slide your Motor Sav'r off. These guards also offer full endbell protection! The wall thickness between the motor and gear case is 1mm...and the side wall starts at 1mm and tapers to .75mm for the mold release. They also feature a .75mm gap for cooling...and we have had ZERO temp issues running these. That said, you are also easily able to open some vent holes, if you so desire, with a body reamer or similar. Weight is 7 grams.

My production batch of 1,000 initial pieces is still a couple of weeks out, but they are coming soon to www.billet-works-store.com

The production Motor Sav'r will only be offered in black. The white ones are my pre-production samples.

On to the pics...

even money says the first batch is sold before they're outta the mold. I'm definitely picking up a pair or two as soon as they're available.

They do look a lot better than the energy shot bottles. I guess it comes down to price. I would probably get a pair.

Thanks guys/gals. Pricing has been added to our site at www.billet-works-store.com

These fit any standard 540 brushed or brushless motor...which typically measure in at approximately 1.420" OD.

They're nice but not nice enough for Me to spend $10. I'm no pro so I don't need that much edge over the competition. Nice work though. But for me there's cheaper options that work ok

I never thought that I would hear someone complain about $10 rock crawler part being too expensive until today.

Nice work Don

Really $10 bucks is too much huh???? My motors are worth more to me than not wanting to shell out a few bucks I mean a set of brushes for a motor cost that not to mention when you bend a brush hood on a rock
