Default new guy needing help

hey everybody i am new to this thread and also new to scalers.i have been researching on how to find a crewcab chassis.ive found one at gcmracing.com and ive found a few others but cant seem to locate where to buy them.ive seen a few (diaz) chassis and a (BMRC DK chassis)




first is the dpmc chassis second is the gcm and last is the diaz.ive located the long wheelbase gcm chassis but i wanted opininions before i bought anything.any help will be greatly appreciated im trying to build my first scaler.

thank you this site is the best ive been on.i have been working with metal for 5 years now and i thought i could make it but i am currently speaking to mg200 about building one for me because i dont know if i can bore all the little holes and make something like it iver never done it before and have nothign to base it off of.i also need some advise on all the other components.i have already chosin my axles ill be running the t-rex 60 axles and i want a 4 link but havent gotten that far yet.i am still searching on all of that.but thank both of you for the advice already givin

Welcome to the site and the scalers.

Maybe your best move to start off is to have MG200 make it for you so you can get an idea of how it's done then as time goes on you can start to learn as you go yourself.

I still learn something new everytime i start a new build.hope you get what your lookin for and good luck with everything.

ok ive done more research on axles what would any of you run the t-rex 60 axles or the komodo metal axles?

I've never ran either of those axles so i really could'nt be of any help to ya on this one bud but i have seen more of the t-rex 60 axles than i have the komodo's.

dont know about the rexes.i run the komodo/rc channels as listed when i bought them of flea bay.on my bronco.no problems with them.they are beefy.ran another set of them on another truck i had and never an issue either.

I just ordered some 1/10 Komodo's for my scale build. I'm going to run the diffs closed in the rear and open up front for better steering. Those axles are really nice.

not to ask a stupid question but how do you (close an axle)i just ordered a komodo xl 2.2 truck i learned that you dont try to build your first scaler. buy one you like most and upgrade then try to build lol.

lock them in positive traction.these axles are simple.they come with 2 pins for each axle.just take diff cover off and install the pins.

oh ok thats easy enough.thanks do you run gear oil or grease in shocks or axles???

got a little bit of oil in my shocks and none in the axles at the moment.going to add some soon when i get ready to head into some water.
here is my bronco with these axles under it.

thats a good looking buggy.but arent your shaft angles a bit steep??
