for sure, that's a great program for free. Google aint bad either, but it's not really designed for this sort of work (but I have used it with some good results)

Quick question. Delrin chassis braces, drill and tap for machine bolts? Or drill and use a screw?

I would drill & tap, use a machine screw.
General rule, in soft material (plastic, aluminum, etc) you should have a MINIMUM of 2 thread diameters engagement. Thus, if you are using 3mm screws, you must thread them at least 6mm into the plastic. This makes it harder to strip out the holes.
