| Custom Rear 2 link set up!
Alright where to start. I got a buddy of mine who has a 1:1 YJ-8 ( Mixed Parts) Anyway. Here runs a 4 link in front and 2 link rear set up. How do you say. Well here is how. You have to solid mounts on the axle spaced out towards the ends on the axle. Then they run up and meet to make one up to a custom Crossmember. That as a Heavy duty ball joint mounted in the center. The ball joint allow it to travel 360* but as no side to side play at the joint. You do have to run a track bar with this set up. Anyway I was think of doing this on my Tuber. Here are some pic's to help. |

It works really well. The best part was mine was durable. It climbed like a billy goat. No hop bounce nothing straight up. Simple Clod 2 |

Yep it's John's. I have seen this set up on his and Tom's Jeep's for some time now. It seems to be the only thing he can't break on it.

just make sure it is mounted good to the axle... I have seen the welds break/tubes tear on a 1:1 rig. I doubt an r/c sees the same forces though

A couple wheeling buddies run the one link set up on their 1:1. ShellJeep (Low Slung CJ) and JoshR (FJ-40). This linkage setup produces massize amounts of antisquat. This setup really sucks on my 1:18 Nylint. I much prefer the traditional 4-link configuration on my TXT.

That's a bad idea. It adds more stress to the rod ends and they like to snap alot. Been there, done that a 1,000 times. I event went and got monster rod ends and started to snap the 8-32 rod and 10-32 rod that was used | |

the only bind I had was when I put it in there. When rockcrawling, you get into alot of binds |
