The decal sheet even has two sets of stickers for the winch. I guess because it will eventually get torn off or beat up and you can replace them.
I would vote this body, the best any company has made so far. Very cool!!!

I dont like the real Rubicon so I definetly wont be purchasing the RC body.

Buying a Rubicon(1.1) is like someone buying a capable prebuilt RC while the guy next to him has put his time and energy into building his ideal RC and loves to wheel the piss out of it.

It is like buying your way into the hobby/sport.
(rant ended)

Whoa Tiger!
Come on!!!! Who would not like the Rubicon? That is rediculous. I have built and bought everything, including 14 Jeeps, one being a 1948 CJ2A, all the way to a 2000 TJ with 9 inch axles, atlas II, etc. etc. Did all the work myself! I appreciate "building and not buying" but in all honesty, the only people I have heard bad mouthing the Rubicon are people that can not afford one. The Rubicon is the most capable 4x4 ever made, from the box. Kudos to Jeep for having the balls to stick Dana 44's and lockers, 4:1 Tcase, etc, etc, in one of their little rigs. And not buying a silly little RC lexan body because you think building is the only way to go, is a bit childish. Why is the guy who "buys his way into the sport" not as good as the guy who built his rig from ground up? Maybe some people don't like turning a wrench so he lets someone else do it for him. Big deal! I would never discriminate against someone who had a rig that someone else built. If he likes the sport, who cares how he got there. I'm sure the guy who buys a Rubicon worked very hard to earn the money to buy the expensive, "out of the box 4x4". How is it any different? The Rubicon Wrangler body looks good, fits my project nicely and many, many, many other people love it and will buy plenty of them. I'm sure HPI won't be hurt by the loss in sales from people that hate the Rubicon for no other reason than to just hate something because they heard is was cool to live by the "built not bought", Jeep rule. No offense man but I have heard this so many times, it just makes no sense to me and I have to call people on it. I am not flaming or being a jerk so please don't come back pissed off. I just had to rant a little too.

sick'em pete

i have built every 1:1 crawler i have had from the ground up and i wouldn't jump on someone for not doing that. thats like someone buying a rig from poison spyder, avalanche, etc. and me giving them a hard time but yes i hate jeeps, but you still have to give jeep credit for doing what they did, although i would never own it and i will stick to my Toyota axles

but just cause i hate jeeps, don't mean i wouldn't buy that body. it is kinda cool w/ winch and all

Kudos to anyone likes the Rubi
Yes Jeep upped the ante with the Rubicon, but with $26,000 as an initial investment, you could build a much more capable rig than a Rubicon for under 26G’s.
Being a broke college student does not make me despise Rubicons. It makes me appreciate the rig I built with my own hands.
The Rubicon owners that I have wheeled with have ridden on the trail only to take the bypass because they “Didn’t want to scratch their new pretty toy.” Not to mention that their rig which cost 4 times the amount as mine couldn’t follow us.

It is like the "Ford Guy" not running a Chevy body, all a matter of preference and taste.

Right....but that's no reason to dislike it. Also: I believe that the people buying the Rubi are not super hard core wheelers. I wouldn't want to scratch it up either. But that does not mean it sucks or someone should hate it. Accept it for what it is.....an extremely capable 4x4. Throw 6 inches of lift and some 35's and you've got a rig that can handle 99% of the trails in the world.......and......you do it in comfort. You can also drive to the trail in safety and comfort. When I was in college, 100 years ago, I didn't care about comfort and saftey but now I would almost take that over capability. If I wanted a dedicated trail rig, then yes, I'd probably build an old jeep or Sami.
PS. I am soon to be a Rubi owner. I say soon because I am on the unofficial list to get the first Long Wheel Base Rubicon. Of course I wouldn't take it on the circuit but I will do Upper and Lower Helldorado, etc.

Haha!
"I don't like Proline and would never buy one of their bodies......because they make bodies for other people. People that buy pre-made, lexan bodies are buying their way into the rc sport. I make my own lexan bodies for half the cost, with hard work and sweat, so that means it's cool and they work better!"
haha. Just a little smart ass sarcasm. But, oh how foolish it sounds, right?
Sorry to pick on ya BARK!
