There are bigger tires, I think up to 8.5"(?) They don't mount to Nylint wheels and they are really wide too. A 7.5" tire that was the same width as stock would be perfect. I don't know much about RC wheels and tires but I haven't seen any that I liked more than what is stock on the Nylint. Just my opinion.

Post BBBBIIIIIIGGGG Tires

they do make some 8.5 in. tires (swamp kongs & jumbo kongs by imex) they're about 4.5 in. wide. i'd like to try to put them on my nylint, but they're expensive and i have no $$$$. i think they'd fit with some fender triming and some shock relocation. but post picture and tell me how it goes if you attempt it.:-P

the moab XL are 7" tall (stock nylints are 6.5") and they are only 3" wide. as apposed to like 4.5" wide monster truck tires

What would it take to get them on a Nylint? And is it really worth it for .25" more clearance?

psst, if you flip the grey half of the wheel, your tires magicly become 7" tall.

i'm not sure how much taller you wana go ... but the plastic insert that comes stock inside the tires ... if you pull that out you actually gain some height and more grab ...but do have to flip the little grey thing behind the wheel around!

I don't think the 1:6th can handle any larger tires. The taller the tire the more leverage it as. You wold be slipping belts instead of moving. That will happen everytime you climbed a hill. The stock Nylint tires are just fine.

A guy with a 1:6 scale scorpion put some swamp kongs on and he said it did fine. it just had a little trouble steering in the rocks

The Pro and Con's of doing it. Just don't add up. Maybe on Flat ground. But if you like it thats all that matters.

the guy with the scorpion said he took it in the rocks and it did just fine in the rocks, but hey, i don't have any personel experiance with them, so i'm not sure how true that is.

I would just think that the steering would get over worked and the belts would slip to no ends.

it would also be a good idea to get a servo & lower gearing with the bigger tires. you'd definately need o-rings, and be ready for carnage
