|  is the mounting hole spacing on a 550 motor the same as a 540?
i'm trying to find dimensions because i want to make a motor mounting plate for a 550 motor. most companies will list length and diameter but i need to know the mounting hole placement. (i'm making the plate for someone else is is ordering the motor so neither of us have a motor to measure.)

the 550 can is usually the same diameter as a 540, but is longer. it may vary a little depending on the brand. I also noticed that some motors have 6 mounting holes, while other have 4. not that it should matter too much.
