i am now about to start building on a aluminum flat bed for the truck. (gotta be able to mount that gooseneck boat trailer on it) this is gonna be sick. i cant wait. i really like the painted wheels to. im debateing on doing duallies in the rear or staying single wheel. i wanna rock crawl this thing too. notice the comp cut and flat blacked front fenders. CLICK ON THEM, THEY GET BIGGER. |

That looks awesome. I like how low and chopped up it is. That is going to look sweet with a flatbed and trailer.

well here is a rough look at what the flat bed will look like (keep in mind it is just being started, i got to shorten the sides 1/16th an inch) the sides are 1in alum angle, the front is 1/2in alum angle, and back is 3/4 alum angle(ran out of 1in) and the slats goin across the bed are 1/2in alum flat. they will have 1/8th in gap between them and i will have a 3/4in alum angle in the center of the bed (notice the gap) notched to lay flat like the others which will carry the load of the trailer and boat. all screws will be counter sunk and i will have to design some sort of hitch system for the goose neck hitch. i will eventually have working head/ tail lights as well as most body lights. i am also planning on making a alum "head ache rack" for it also, its the bar that come up and around the back glass the shape of the truck for those who havent heard of that. i will hopefully have working lights on top of that also. since i cut the head lights off, i will have to figure out a way to install head lights so that it looks as good/scale as possible. give me any and all comments that you all have. i need them. I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER CXT CAB if anyone would be interested in doing this with their nylint. |

you almost cant feel it in your hands. maybe 1lb. the bed that is. it is made of the same thing the frame is made of, some sort of ultra light weight aluminum. its about 1/8in thick and of various sizes. the whole truck is actually light a crap also. i will weight it tomorrow if i get a chance. |
