Default Hobby grade

I have my 1:18 gutted. Have all new hobby grade electrics for it.
Two questions for anybody who can help.
1: Do I have do change the wires to the motors to something a little beefier? If so, some ideas please.

2: Does the stock battery run time get reduced when hobby grade electrics are intalled?
If so, any ideas for a new battery?

Thanks to anybody who helps.

you dont have to change your wires tothe motors but better is always a good idea.i wold try deans 14 gauge wire, maybe 16. iam still running the stock wires.

no, if anything the better electronics give you a tad bit more runtime due to the better effeintcy (sp) of the new electronics.

if you do want to up grade to a better pack look into 2/3 cells.the ones they use in micro cars.
