Yes it does. I would suggest if you are going to run any kind of power through it to get the updated shaft for it.

You need to read. I did the searching for you. At the bottom of that post it says HARDENED STEEL GEARS. There are pictures in that thread of the internals even. This is a forum you have to read just a little bit.
