Hey can anyone help me with the following problem? When I mount my gear guard on my Vanquish transmission the screws stick out too far. Thanks |

| Re: Vanquish Gear Guard The gear guard only includes that spacer because before it came out the only Axial transmissions available all included the spacers. Now they are molded into the rear of the spur gear cover that comes with all the transmissions.

Thanks for the info. Maybe someone here can help me with my other problem. What screws do I use to mount the Vanquish transmission housing to the base. The four screws that held the axial housing appear to have a coarse thread designed for plastic. |

You need some M3 flathead screws.

I used an aluminum spacer under the head to shorten the bolt..Your going to need a 4mm spacer between the plate and trans if your mounting it that way.

The axial manual days the original 4 screws are M3x12mm (AXA466). These are the four screws that hold the transmission housing to the large bottom brace. Should I be looking at M3x12mm (AXIA146) flat head screws (non tapping)? |

the 30mm we are talking about is for the Front mounted moter plate like BWD's or Supershafty's I'm not sure what stock Plate screws are I will disassemble a stock trans and let you know unless some on here has that measurement handy Regards Rick |
