instead of the 2.2 adapters you need to get two things. you will need to pick up the venom mini giant special axles and the itsy bitsy spider trinity 2.2 metal adapters. they work great!!!! if you go to 1/18.com you wil find the links. also the rims are no longer available. so what i did was pick up the ofna pirate 10 gray rims from nitrohouse. they have tons. the rims have a 100% offset!!!!

You dont need adapters any more. All you need to do is get the special axel kit for the VMG and then buy the trinity 1/18 wheel adapter for the itsy bitsy spyder. It works perfect.

lhs's don't have much left for "venom" parts, can anyone help me with finding the "special axle kit" probably named atech?

building up one right now, would be happy to tech it, if anyone wants, there will be some differences that what I have seen here, lmk, just started.....

hpi has 2.2 adapters and all u have to do is drill the hole for the set screws!

You can also drill the axle stubs to accept the HPI hex pins. That's what I did, and it works great.

Another VMG mod I just completed today is the installation of aluminum 3Racing MLST steering knuckles. Much stronger and no more flex.
