Default Broken Rear axle help...

Okay, I'm new to the RC rockcrawling thing and just getting into this! I've seen the posts about the rear axle braking and wanted to make sure I'm doing this right before I mess it up!

The pic below is of my pass. side rear axle collor. The pin broke (guess it is a common problem from what I've seen on here) while playing on some rocks at work. Under load the rear tires won't turn. I've seen the thread about putting JB weld in the black collor... would that cause more problems later on and brake some other weak spot??

Should I just drill out the hole thru the axle and cut an allan wrench and install that? How long should that be?
Thanks in advance! I'll be modding the crap out of this soon...

LATER

i've never had to do it myself, but i think you just put like a piece of drill bit or allan wrench or something like that in it.

YEAH!!! I'm back craw'n!!! The pin broke that goes into the blue plastic thing (sorry don't know the name of it)... I just put an allen wrench in it about 1/2" long and works GREAT so far. I'll test it out on the rocks after the battery charges up
