Default Gearing ?

Here's the deal I'm running a truck that was hand built using e-maxx 2speed trans with 13 tooth pinion 66 spur wraith axles motor is Novak 55 an esc is Novak rooster crawler in low gear it's a ok I feel like it needs lower gear doesn't have a lot of grunt an I can't use high gear unless flat ground should I change motor to different brand or go lower gearing an if so what gears

1. What's the total gearing motor to wheel?
2. Which wheels and tires do you use?
3. What battery voltage do you use?

A 55T motor can handle higher gearing than a lower wind motor, since it has more torque.
It's got less power though, so it takes more voltage if you want to go fast.

If you just want to run what you have, and are OK with a low top speed than you can get away with running a much smaller pinion gear.

If you want more snap and a wider usable RPM range then you'll want a lower turn motor, or more voltage.

Depends on battery as stated above..hmm if going for torque go for a 15/84t setup or speed then go higher but watch those temps or you'll ruin the motor.
