| Currie Axle setup I'm in the process of putting together a very beautiful set of grey currie wraith axles, but can't get the rear axle to cooperate. Put simply, everything goes together and spins freely until I try mounting the truss to the axle tube on short side...once that screw even touches the threads on the axle tube, the axle shafts bind up. Any suggestions? I've had it apart and put back together multiple times, none of which have ended well for me. (PS: all screws were checked 4 times to be sure I was using the correct ones for the job, as described in the instructions). Has anyone else run I to this problem, or am I just that lucky? Thanks! try leaving all hardware that you can still get to very loose till all hardware is installed and tighten slowly in steps, that should help.

| Re: Currie Axle setup Thanks...I'll try that. Interestingly enough, the front axle went together quick, but the back has proven much more difficult.

That truss hole looks off center, might need to massage it with a small round file. Also the screw might be going to deep and binding the axle, ran into that on a set of scx curries.

Mind posting a pic of the screw you're using from the truss to the axle tubes? It should be very short, maybe 4mm in length?

I just bought a full set of curries for my scx10 build and I noticed those holes in the axle tubes as well. What exactly size grub screws should I get to plug those holes??? I bought some M4 screws at lowes the other night and I just realized that they are to big! If I take a driveshaft pin and grind the pin of to were only the threads are left..do you think that will work? I really don't feel like ordering a set of grub screws so maybe a I can modify a driveshaft pin to work and plug up those holes...

I'm pretty sure they came with the curries if I remember correctly.

you say the front went together without a hitch, have you tried using the rear truss on the front and seeing if it has the same issue?

This is really strange, do you think the holes were drilled right or something because normally VP's quality is above top notch or am I missing something?!
