Default Drive issues to front axle...

No, it is not clicking! :-P

I already read all the posts to do with that subject, and after reading the newbie guide and using the search button I still have not found an answer to my issue. So I am hoping you guys can help me out?

Had the crawler out for just 15 mins when it lost drive to the front axle. The rear axle is pushing the Jeep along, with a locked up front axle. Weird thing is, it works just fine in reverse, both axles drive like they should!

So, is it likely to be fried electronics, or mechanical issues? The axle and diffs make no clicking noises, the motor is simply dead when driving forward..

Best,

Jim

Just off the top of my head try jumping the wires of the front axle to the wires of the rear. If it is a bad circurt the rear one should be able to run both.

Luckily I got the crawler exchanged no problem. It is currently on my desk in bits whilse I do the pen mod, cut the springs, and reverse the shocks....

Thanks for the tips though, I'll be filing those away.... ;o)
