I see a wheel porn thread but how bout a thread of super nice axle porn ? I built this custom centered f9 Currie for my bomber ... It's the first of its kind ... Scx center and truss with centered wraith tubes .. F1 spool OD. Gears VP centered shafts .. LURC hardware all over

Aaaahhhh I had a quick twissted flash back with the It's the first of its kind.

My idea of axle porn is probably a bit different than many.




Dlux big bearing housing ar60's, they both have steel beef tubes, the lower has brass dlux knuckles on VP 8* c hubs, brass lower plates and steering arms. The upper axle has aluminum knuckles on axial scx c hubs, loaded dice with brass lower plates and aluminum steering arms. They both run dlux sporty trusses but the upper has "first of its kind" pink G10 material as the rear axle on that rig does too. Both axles use 8mm stub shafts but the upper axle has FBA inner axles. Both run holmes spools and axial HD gears. Both servos work well moving the TI tie rods too. The savox 2290 is on the top axle and it's a baaad biotch.


Different kind of porn indeed but that shiat is bomb proof!

Haha I love comp stuff have 5 comp trucks ... I just happened to be building the f9 so I started the thread .... Those are pretty tasty I wish they made purple g10 lol

I didn't mean to build the 2nd one, it's all the hand-me-downs from the main rig.

I haven't seen or heard of it but I haven't " looked" for it in about a year ... When Cboggs took over 5d and was making those bling 40 spoke Dayton looking comp wheels ....
And the purple in the link you posted is too dark I'd be interested if it was a blend of that purple and your pink ... Like anodized magenta looking purple lol

The best I found was purple matting to make your own. Not super exciting but in the end it'd be damned unique.
