Default 1/10 MST cfx setup

Hey everyone. I have the 1/10 Mst cfx coming in the mail soon. I was thinking of going with one of the castle slate motors. What do you guys think 1900kv or 2280kv? Was thinking running 3s bc i have them. Does anyone have any experience with is chassis and setup? Thanks!!

I run slate 1900 on axial 2. Best motor ever. Setting up motor on computer is awesome

I cannot comment on the Castle motor, but I run a 35t/2S setup on my CFX. It's a small fairly light rig - a castle motor of either KV on 3S should throw it around like nothing.

I'm impressed with a 550 size Brushed Holmes Hobbie motor.
Seems hard to beat for torque smoothness and cost. I've picked these up for $15. 550 size runs cooler and has more torque than a 540. Hobbywing 1080 ESC and 550 motor can be had for under $55.

I run the 2850 slate on 3S in my Bomber. On 3S, that's just enough wheel speed to put the Bomber at the top end of what's controllable on most surfaces. On a scaler like that MST, I would think the 1900 would probably be more appropriate, since I doubt it'll do high speed as well as the Bomber.
