Exclamation Question about link mount position on axle

I've got a question about link geometry. At full lock steering, the tires rub on the lower links. So I was thinking about moving the point where the links mount to the front axle inwards by about 10mm. Assuming I do it symmetrically on both sides, and then re-adjust (shorten) the link lengths to account for the change in angle, what effect will this have on the handling characteristics of my rig? I can't seem to find any threads that discuss this specific topic.

My Wraith used to rub the front lower links in full lock steering.after changing SLW350 to 475 the rub gone both side. Just rub free and maintained about the same axles width.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I really want to keep the width the same.

And moving the wheels further away from the knuckle pivot point is not a good idea.

In reality, not much will change but technically, you are going to alter the path the axle travels through its range of motion. Will you notice that, I doubt it.

You won't notice a difference. I run a single screw through the lower hole and cut off the to half of the stock mounts for front sportsman axles. Works very well to keep things clear.

If there's no shock connected to it and there's no up/down change, there won't be any noticeable geometry change. It will ever so slightly increase caster, or angle the bottom out more, but that's rarely a bad thing. The axle pictured above can adjust caster.

If you move the shock mount inwards more, it will increase travel and decrease spring rate & dampening.
