I just got a new scx10 ii. I am putting new axles in. Should I change up the stock gearing in the diff? or leave it?

Depends on what you are going to do with the rig. At the very least make sure the gear mesh is good and shim as needed. I prefer the aftermarket gears, they are manufactured better. Most aftermarket gears are machined from better material. A lot of the stock gears are not. They are sintered (pressed metal particles) I believe. |
