Default Lunchbox Crawler

Hi guys,

Please suggest which truck you think would be best to use for a Lunchbox body shell. I am not very skilled or experienced at modifying or building RCs yet, so I would prefer something that would need minimal work to get the body to fit and mount well.

Apologies if this had been asked previously. If it has, please reply with the link.

Thank you,
MP

I got this in my notes. Can’t remember where I got them all but I do remember it took a good bit of searching. This is only body dimensions.

Tamiya Wheelie Type II
-175mm wheelbase
-140mm width
-310mm long

Thanks guys,

I am looking to find a crawler, or possibly a 4wd MT with the correct dimensions to fit under the Lunchbox body. So far, it seems the Losi MRC and clones would be my best bet.

The body width will be the deciding factor. How much axle do you want poking out?

Thanks BW,

I don't know, honestly. I don't need it to look very scale. What I am after is a decently capable crawler under my all-time favorite RC body. Or, I might be happy with a 4WD basher with the LB body.

I have been looking to get a mini-size (1/16-1/18 ) crawler anyway, so I will likely just choose between ECX, HSP, Redcat, Exceed or Losi.

My Lunchbox measures out to right at 205mm for the wheelbase. I've cut and stretched (kinda) mine to fit a Blizzard, but it started the same as the Midnight Pumpkin body, and my 'punky measures 205mm too.
And my Pumpkin is now a 1.9 crawler on a highly modified 1/16 Traxxas Summit chassis. The mini Summit wasn't quite long enough, tho', so I mod'ed the rear suspension for a bit extra wheelbase. It's here in the 1.9 section.
I don't know what else will fit, and sorry for contradicting Brake Weight, just wanted to throw this info out there.

There are few builds around. Some tho are widened and stretched to fit. I've seen one maybe two on mrc axles but believe they are custom chassis.

I want to build a lunchbox one day, but turn it in to a cab and truggy back like a unimog.

Three different builds for a lunchbox
