Default Rear Axle Position.?

Greetings,

Doing routine service and I was looking at the angle of the rear axle, and it's tilted down at a funky angle. It strikes me that it should be tilted up more, getting the drive shaft in a straighter line. Does that seem reasonable?

Your lower link mounts on your axle are upside down

Maybe point the pinion up.

I flipped the links mounts and then went in one full revolutions on the rod ends, and that got it the pinion up.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. I need to stop drinking when I'm working on these things.

Check the angle at ride height it should be a lot better. If not then lengthen the top links a bit that should help as well.

Not sure if it really applies to rc but in 1:1 it makes a big difference. You want your transfer case output to be the same angle as your pinion angle.
