How do you stow your tow rope on your rig? I am looking for ideas for brackets and such. Is there a proper name for this? |

For the DSM Offroad kinetic recovery strap, I simply pull it back over the hood and roof and secure the anchor the the rear, upper cage on the Truggy. For my rigs with winches, I either run just enough slack to hook a bumper D-Ring like mike stated above, or I reel it in right up to the fairlead. It just depends on what kind of running I’m doing. I don’t think there’s necessarily a right or wrong way though. I have found some pretty good info in 1:1 offroad and 4x4 magazines if you’re more interested in a truly scale, real world look. |

Like Mike and mewalsh said! I have a hair tie zip tied in the bed to attach my winch line to. I also use E6000 to attach scale accessories in the bed. I attach my winch line up over top and attach to the cage like this. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Last edited by B-MOW71; 12-22-2019 at 03:23 PM. |

I designed up a scale Tuffbox for my Hilux build. I can fit a mountain of recovery gear in there, and the magnetic lid makes it easy to get to things quickly. Plus, it's a great scale accessory itself. |

Great input guys. I wanted to design something that will make using and restowing the rope easy on the trail, but be compact at the same time... So, here is what I came up with. It bolts on to the body, the plate shown is the backing plate, and it is raised so that a zip-tie can go under it. Untitled by Scott O, on Flickr |
