Default The Crawler Spring Compendium

I searched around for this kind of thing when trying to figure out what Traxxas means by things like "0.54 rate," and couldn't find anything, so I started doing my own (admittedly crude) measurements,
and searching the interwebs for the already published data on others. If it has an asterisk, it means I don't have it and can't physically measure it. Feel free to post any other known
springs and measurements that I missed, don't have, or didn't think of. Still can't find the specs on the OE VP Phoenix springs, and was too lazy to take them off.

What I can contribute is already on the board. "Shocked" there isn't already a thread like this? You put in the time to make your own spreadsheet so props to ya.

Yeah nice work putting this together.

I can fill in one of the blanks, Enduro IFS Black springs are 4.75 lb/in and the ID is the same as the rest of the Enduro springs (13mm)

I think I need to ad another column to differentiate between coil color and band color-- because sya for instance with Traxxas, they have a Green band on a "natural" or unpainted spring, while (most) everybody else has a green band on whatever color they decided to coat/paint their springs. Axial even has some blue springs... with colored bands. Like I said, I was doing this for myself, then thought I might as well share it-- I mean, I just have ALL of my springs in a big bin. So when I'm holding two slightly different green banded springs in my hand... what am I looking at?

Also, what some mfrs. call "super soft" can be stiffer than aa different length/size "medium"... from the same manufacturer.

Maybe just combine it like: gray body / green stripe, Gray Body / no stripe

Found an old chart I had printed out for the Associated 2.25" (57mm) and 2.75" (70mm) stadium truck springs, so I added those, as they are all 13mm ID. Still available if you hunt, and some pairs are like 3 bucks.

Also updated any other springs I found rates/ measurements for, and added a column for coil color-- as the stripe phenomenon is still fairly recent-- all of the old Losi, AE, etc springs all use coil color to denote rate/stiffness.

I also have a card with the OLD Losi 2" and 2.75" springs, but so far as I can tell they're all discontinued so I didn't bother to add them.

Unless I overlooked it the Axial scx10ll springs that are listed as a grey stripe color seem to match the same specs as the axial scx10ll yellow stripe springs now. Dunno if they changed colors on us or not but might be something to add/update. Could also add the redcat spring info to the chart as well. This chart is a very handy tool to have & help save people some money.
