Will be interested to see reviews on them. Seen a few reports on the 1/10th scale non funtioning units and they are said to blow seals and leak rather quickly. But that seems to be only one or two people saying as much. Not seen any good vid reviews of them. just some Fakebook posts by some fakebookers. These new 1/7th scale rigs have funtioning bypass and Xi Lue said he has improved them. They look great and come in a nice box.......And are not exactly cheap. |

I think the 10th scale ones are better off as a second spring and oiless shock, rather than a main one. With that being said, they do look absolutely amazing. I might pick up a set for my trophy truck, but I'm not sure if they'd look good next to a thick proline shock. |

At ~ $100 a pair from what I’ve seen, they are pricey to be the guinea pig tester. The rod ends on them are what scares me, maybe merited or not. Definitely look killer, everything I built can run the 1/7 scale functioning units on the rear, providing they have a 2” stroke, fronts are Slash rears, so a faux bypass. Worth $400 for the bling multiplier, that court case hasn’t reached the jury yet. A rig built from VP parts nearly requires these imho.

These do look awesome but for the price my driving skill level wouldn't have a need for this level of tunability (assuming they work as described). I'm luck I've advanced to varying shock oil weights vs friction spring only shocks! |

A few of you mentioned that these are functional, but everything I've come across points to the bypass tubes being cosmetic only. If they actually function, I'm in, otherwise I'll stick with my 3d printed "bypass" sleeves over shocks with functional reservoirs. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

Oh dang! I didn't even look at the pictures of the 1/7 ones! Okay, now that is friggin cool! 135mm oughtta fit the secondary position of a Baja/Rock/Hammer Rey just fine, so I actually DO have some cars they would work on! I doubt I could tell a significant difference as it cycled through the individual stages (3 comp tubes = 4 stages, 1 reb = 2 stages) at this scale (high speed video would help a ton) but I valve my own suspension on 1:1 motorcycles and trucks, so I could totally nerd out on a set of these! $105 a pair sounds reasonable for what you're getting compared to the $2300/pair on my 1:1. |
