Little Bushido, looks like it's a 1.55er?

Love it, Definitely got room for that when the body gets released. Short WB rigs are a blast, always fun to noodle around with. My CMX deserves a big brother, |

That's rad as hell! I remember looking for a Samurai body before I decided to go full Toyota fleet.

Yea I will probably have to pick one of these up. I like the looks of this better than the UMG from Axial

Can't decide what to mount it on - picked up a Barrage kit long ago, not sure if I find it to my liking - a bit too flexible. This is cool - but I have 2 Element rigs and enough parts to build a 3rd using a Machete chassis.

Knight Customs already has some designs worked up: https://www.instagram.com/p/CjZGQ3-v-zk/?hl=en Despite the massive flex the Barrage can work well, I think people often put too much stock in being absolutely rigid. The original SCX10 was a bit of a wet noodle but it worked. Last edited by HumboldtEF; 10-06-2022 at 08:15 PM. |
I still have one of those bodies, untouched so far... Can't decide what to mount it on - picked up a Barrage kit long ago, not sure if I find it to my liking - a bit too flexible.
Are you familiar with the "Zukosaurus" chassis created by a member on this forum (Utieh)? He designed a set of rails specifically for the Pro-Line Sumo body which utilizes SCX10-II parts - so it's a very simple build with extremely common parts. I bet you could use some Element parts as well. My first RC Crawler was a Barrage, and I was going to mount a Sumo body on the Barrage chassis, but I abandoned that idea after building a Zukosaurus chassis. So much more capable than a Barrage. I now have two of them - one with a Sumo body, and the other with a Tamiya early Bronco body. That said, I am definitely interested in the Bushido. I will be looking forward to seeing one in person at PLBTF this weekend. https://radrocks.bigcartel.com/produ...-scale-chassis |

While it's not a hard body, the details in the Lexan are quite impressive. The accessories finish the looks off very well. Only, I don't need another RC crawler. < repeat in my head over and over again > |

Unfortunately, sold out... I'll reach out to see if more are planned - I definitely have the spares to build one up - I'd likely use my SSD axles and Element skid/trans.

It does look good but I don't need another RC. Well, Maybe One more. It's a Suzuki thing. |

550 and 540 has nothing to do with speed, that's the size of the motor. And in cases that's the only difference in actual performance. Each has their place being 550 is a tad bigger which all things being equal would have a bit of a performance boost. But mainly it's the windings (turns) and slots/poles that determine speed. A 16t 3 slot is going to spin faster but have lower torque than a 16t 5 slot. But the 5 slots added torque allows for lower winding counts to bring wheel speed up. Otherwise a something like a 30t 3 slot would match the torque (just tossing numbers for example, too many variables to say exactly how many turns match what) of the 16t 5 slot, but the 16t also has more wheel speed. Back in the times of when Axial first opened its doors with "Betty" most crawlers were brushed due to lack of brushless that had low end torque and low speed control. Most ran 45-55t 3 slot motors cause that's what was easily available. Along with 7-9 cell Itty bitty NiMH battery packs. Barely fast enough for walking speed if you walk fast but low end torque and control were great. That said, this Bushido is the same as all other element enduro rigs for electronics. Stock electronics suck in about every way (wish they'd fix that, look at traxxas, ain't great but are reliable electronics) but you can run 3s just fine. Be fine on 2s as well, 3s definitely NOT NEEDED with lower turn 5 slot motors, they have enough wheel speed for most things just using 2s. | Re: New Element rig to be released at PLBTF 2022. Hard body? You know this is so true. I heard he Res.Concepts guys from your neck of the woods with their 3D printed chassis that is flexy does really well vs. some of the other flat rail chassis out there.
