what gen. do you have? cause i got #1 and high gear could barely pull itself. so i locked it in low gear for good.

check for anything wrapped around your axle inside the actual axle housing like hair or leaves or your neighbors cat. it sounds like either your motor is dying or you are overloading the motor. the electronics on my 4th generation has an overload-failsafe circuit which will shut the jeep down if stressed

yea it could be that having such a small belt on the front and not having close to same size belt on rear and the front having to pull the rear end up the obsticle may be triggering that fail safe its not hurting anything its just anoying one minute ur climbing somthing then the next minute ur rolling back down that obsticle Last edited by Rc_Kid; 03-10-2007 at 12:21 AM. |

Its your failsafe kicking in. When I would drive mine in high gear with tight belts it would power down for like a half a second when the axles got any stress on them (like while climbing a steep hill). Its basicaly your crawler saying "screw you, I'm taking a break!"
