Default Are all servo savers equal?

I'm thinking about getting a couple servo savers for my Clod. But are they all created equally? What are the differences and what is best for these high torque servos that we use for crawling?

I use one's that are spec'd for 1/8 gas trucks. The kimbrough black 1/8 scale work good.

They have different springs in them. Some are stiffer than others, giving you stronger steering. I bought one of the gas servo savers, and I hated it, turned my steering to mush. But I might go back to them, im tired of wrecking servos.

I mentioned in your other thread, I've stacked springs on a cheap one to stiffen it up.
Sure it still has some mush, but again, it beats spending money over and over again.

Do they make any metal splined savers? I stripped my last saver.

Yep, those are the best ones! I have a bunch of them in my tool box. Once I switched to aluminum servo horns I will never use servo savers again. I do not strip the servo gears or the servo horn teeth, and I abuse the shit out of my rigs.

I run the savers when playing and use plastic oversized arms when at a comp.

Search for Ofna Servo Savers on THobbies; those are what Kev runs w/ giant tracs and 5995's... They seem pretty firm for him.

I am sick of spending money on servos, so for my new rig I just ordered a set of the kimbroughs. I know it puts me at a disadvantage in a comp, but I am sick and tired of buying new servos after every event.

My feelings exactly. Servo savers on analog servos from here on out for me.

yep, i had ran kimbroughs' savers on my last RC and never had a problem. I decided to take them off on my current one and have fried 2 servos. so now that i have new servos, the savers are going back on. if it creates a little too much play, owell
