With my Commandoes/xl's, your adapters, cvd's I was 14 1/2", my Axial's/xl's w/ buggy hexes I was 13 1/4", did a little modding, now I'm at 14".

with the proline velocity 6's (narrowed) and the Mashers I'm @ 15-1/8", with the proline velocity (narrowed, ugly yellow) and the MOAB XL's I'm @ 15". That's using a New Era clod to maxx adapter with my new TT CVD's, I liked it better with the stock axles ( width wise), but I was breaking to many inner shafts!!! 14 3/8 with the proline 14mm hex wheels and original moab 40's. 14" seems just right. I went down from 15 1/2, what a difference.

Mine is just under 16", i would like to go narrower but with my new axial beadlocks it seems hard, i have narrowed them down pretty much, i will try this setup today and see how it works, im intrested in how the moabs will perform! |

So Bender is Saying that 14" wide is the sweet spot . But it means nothing without saying the wheel base. it may be great for your suspension/links, tires, chassis with your ? wheel base may not be so great for some elses setup. Please elaberate. Forum is no good with all the half sentences Last edited by toy4crawlin; 05-09-2007 at 05:17 PM.

Simple question really. What is your width on your super? I really don't care about the spec's you listed, if I did I would have asked that.

| I'm not exactally sure what mine is but it's somewhere around 14 3/4" wide up front and 14" in the rear. Andrew is running the same exact set up I was before going narrow. Sidehills like a mofo but it is a tight squeeze between gates. Watching Andrew drive,it doesn't hinder him as bad as it did me Andrew,I've got a few ideas we can toss around for the whole width deal. I'll get some part numbers and we can discuss at the next comp. If you wanted to go skinnier.....you narrowed the wrong side of the wheel Narrow the face side of the wheel if you want to skinny up some. My Axials are double narrowed and measure 1 3/8" wide bead to bead. Could have went more if I had shorter bolts for the locking rings |
